Walked by a couple in the middle of a fight. Right as she said the words “the only thing you care about is Doctor Who”, this song started playing on my iPhone. 

Way to go, universe.

Having not heard this song in probably 10 years, I stumbled across it, listened to 20 seconds of it, and immediately started bawling. 

So, that’s an interesting way to end my Sunday night.

My friend Hillary gave me a copy of Cellar Door for my birthday the year it came out. I remember thinking at the time that it was alright and listened to it for a few months before putting it away and not going near it for years. 

JV set up a Kickstarter for his next album and it made me want to go back and listen to his older stuff. So on the bus into work this morning I listened to Cellar Door and I don’t know if it’s because I’m a bit older and more thoughtful about things, but I realized just how good it actually is.

Mark my words, I might be something someday.
